What is the #buildingbrightbrains campaign about?
It is a series of initiatives to share messages with parents and adolescents that brains continue to develop until age 25, and choices made during youth can change the brain's structure for better or worse.

Friday Night Done Right is a FREE youth drop-in program for MEDWAY residents and students in grades 5-8. Parents - you get the night off while youth can enjoy pizza, sports, crafts, music, and social time. Some nights may also feature age-appropriate movies, inflatables, visits from a certified therapy dog, etc. This collaboration is between ‘SUP Medway, Medway Community Education, Medway Parks & Recreation, MSPTO, and Medway Public Schools. We hope you can join us from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Medway High School cafeteria and back patio. Registration needs to be filled out for each child. Children need healthy meals to learn. Accordingly, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is providing complimentary breakfast and lunch for all students. In addition, the Medway Public Schools offer reduced fees (PK tuition, athletic fees, trip fees) for qualifying families. ACTION REQUIRED: Annual Student Information Update
To prioritize safety and efficiency, we require all parents and students to complete a yearly review and sign off on the information, policies, and procedures.
To streamline this process and make it convenient for everyone, we have integrated this review into our user-friendly Parent Portal system, which we refer to as "Online Registration" or "The Yearly Information Update" in our communications.
All families must complete this review, update any information that may have changed since last year, and sign off on required policies and procedures by September 7, 2023. Families with 5th and 9th-grade students should know that this process must be completed before a school-issued Chromebook will be deployed to their child.

We will be giving away backpacks on Tuesday, 8/22 & Wednesday, 8/23 at 1:00 pm at the Medway Public Library, 26 High St as part of the FREE summer lunch & fun program! Bags will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis in the Makerspace, and will be available while supplies last. Supplies are courtesy of Medway Public Schools and the Hockmock Area YMCA.

Update regarding the district's '23/24 transportation program. We are pleased to inform you that in addition to the eligibility standards in Policy EEAA, at its meeting on June 15, the School Committee approved expanding bus eligibility for virtually all Kindergarten and Grade 1 students (except those living in immediate proximity to McGovern School).
