The Rhode Island Blood Center (RIBC) is hosting a Community Blood Drive at the Thayer Homestead on Monday, October 28, from 1:00 - 7:00 pm. The RIBC has been collecting blood in Massachusetts for many years, and most of our collected blood ends up in Southern New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island). Additionally, their lab in Providence does most of the hematology testing for all of the Massachusetts hospitals, including those in Boston. One pint of blood can save up to 3 lives, so 20 donors will save up to 60. Use the QR code in the graphic to sign up, or visit the website here: https://donate.ribc.org/donor/schedules/sponsor_code. (Use code M053).

The White Castle USA Luge Slider Search is the official nationwide athlete recruitment tour of USA Luge, targeting young athletes ages 9-13. Established in 1985, this grass-roots program aims to identify, train, and qualify young athletes for the USA Luge Junior Development Team. Athletes who may progress through the team development ladder have hopes of one day becoming members of the National and Olympic Luge Teams. On September 7 & 8, the Slider Search will be here in Medway. Each participant needs only register for one two-hour clinic. Register by phone at 1-800-USA-LUGE or by clicking the link below.
