The Rhode Island Blood Center (RIBC) is hosting a Community Blood Drive at the Thayer Homestead on Monday, October 28, from 1:00 - 7:00 pm. The RIBC has been collecting blood in Massachusetts for many years, and most of our collected blood ends up in Southern New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island). Additionally, their lab in Providence does most of the hematology testing for all of the Massachusetts hospitals, including those in Boston. One pint of blood can save up to 3 lives, so 20 donors will save up to 60.

Our 2nd & 3rd graders had the opportunity to plant today! Members of the Medway Community Farm were here to help our students plant vegetables in their individual class beds. They will take care of them and harvest their crops in a few weeks. It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun was had by all!
