Burke Memorial Plaque Nominations Now Open
The Technology Department would like to inform families about a change to our optional Chromebook insurance policy for 2025-26 that will better support students, improve our repair process, and ensure funds directly benefit our schools. Currently, families have the option to purchase insurance through Worth Ave Group for $29 per year. However, with minimal claims filed, the approximately $19,000 in annual premiums primarily benefit the insurance company rather than Medway Public Schools. To better utilize these funds, we are proposing an in-house optional insurance or use fee program that will allow us to cover repair costs, purchase new devices, and support our technology staff. Our goal is to provide better service to our students. Effective 2025-26, we will offer optional insurance for $29 a year to all families in grades 5 through 12. Policies will cover accidental damage. More information will be shared throughout the remainder of the year. Please look for our communications and payment portal to purchase coverage.
